I love a little pretty in my day

I don't really classify myself as a "girly girl" but possibly I am I just didn't realise it.

I guess if you factor in that I like to get my hair done, I LOVE shoes, and pretty clothes and I LOVE LOVE LOVE jewellery and pretty things hanging around my neck then yes, possibly I AM a girly girl. 

I will make peace with that thought.

And look what this girly girl found, isn't it *pretty*.   I think it will look perfect on a long chain.  Worn of course with other layers of beads and such.  And it still works and keeps perfect time (when I remember to wind it that is)

one of my first loves........

Colette Dinnigan *sigh*

Probably the first designer, I was really aware of, and admired.  I loved the femininity of her clothes, I admired her work ethic and DAMN I wanted one of her dresses for my year 12 formal!!!  LOL - that was so out of the realm of possibilty. 

Now I still admire her beautiful designs.  Her couture is AMAZING and her ready to wear collections just delightful.  Full of all things pretty and girly, layers and beading frills and delicate fabric.  Any women, would look beautiful in her gorgeous clothes, I think her designs are ageless.  They would look fab on a 20 year old, HOT on a 30 year old (and me who is *just* a little older than 30) and glorious on a 50 year old.

Not many designers can do that.

*sigh* see I still have a crush :)
